Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Provider
The service is operated under the brand NormHarbor; the operating company's registration details are being finalised and will be published in our legal notice. Contact: hello@normharbor.com.
Business use only
NormHarbor is offered to businesses and professionals for business use only. By creating an account or ordering a plan, you confirm that you act as a business or professional and not as a consumer.
The service
NormHarbor is an automated WCAG/EAA scanning tool. Results are indicative and do not guarantee full legal compliance: colour contrast, keyboard navigation and dynamic behaviour require a manual audit.
Only scan websites you own or are authorised to test. Misuse of the tool, including unauthorised scans and excessive load, is prohibited and may lead to suspension.
Accounts and payments
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions sold and processed by Creem as Merchant of Record. When you buy a plan, the purchase and payment contract is concluded with Creem as reseller, and Creem's terms of sale apply to it; these terms govern your use of the service we provide. Prices are shown excluding VAT where applicable; Creem issues the invoices. Renewal, cancellation and refunds are described below and in our Refund Policy.
Term and termination
Free accounts run for an indefinite period; you can delete your account at any time. Paid plans run for one month and renew automatically until cancelled (see below). We may terminate free accounts with 30 days' notice by email. The right of either party to terminate for good cause remains unaffected; good cause for us includes in particular a serious breach of the usage rules above.
Availability
We aim for high availability of the service but, as is usual for internet services, cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Temporary restrictions may occur due to maintenance, security updates or events beyond our control, such as failures of the internet or of third-party providers. Where possible, we carry out planned maintenance at times of low usage.
Scan results and warranty
Scan results are generated automatically and can only detect part of the possible accessibility barriers (see "The service"). We do not warrant that results are complete or that a scanned website complies with any law. Statutory warranty rights for paid plans remain unaffected; claims for damages are subject to the limitation of liability below.
Limitation of liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act or other mandatory statutory liability, and where we have given a guarantee.
For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, i.e. an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
For free use of the service (free plan and free tools), we are liable only for intent and gross negligence and in the cases of the first paragraph.
These limitations also apply to the personal liability of our legal representatives, employees and vicarious agents.
Data protection
How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. If we process personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement summary applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for good reason, for example changes in the service or the law; changes to the main obligations (scope of service, price) require your agreement. We will notify you of changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not object before that date, the changes apply; we will point out this consequence in the notice. If you object, either party may terminate the contract as of the date the changes take effect.
Subscription, renewal & cancellation
Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Agency) renew automatically every month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime — your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that. Creem acts as the Merchant of Record for all payments and handles VAT. For billing questions or refund requests, write to hello@normharbor.com.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the provider is established (see the legal notice), excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For business customers, the courts at the provider's seat have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
